Kids Club Kampala,Uganda
We are privileged to partner with Kids Club Kampala, whose aims are to bring hope and love to vulnerable children, transforming poor communities living in extreme poverty with sustainable changes through development projects and supporting basic needs.
We are excited to see a team from the church go in 2017 to spend time supporting, encouraging and experiencing their work first hand.
This trip will be two weeks in Uganda where there are a variety of things we can be involved in depending on what the skills of the team are. We will be helping with two Saturday’s of Kids Clubs involving games, bible teaching, dramas and songs; where they can have up to 200 children attending. We will also have 5 days where we can be involved with their Education Projects helping in the drop-in classrooms, the Football Project, repainting the Ewafe home for abandoned children, and possibly seeing the work of their women’s initiatives and community development projects.
The trip is proposed for 6 – 20 July 2017, and will cost approximately £1200 per person. The team hope to start booking travel plans in at the end of January, and then hold a training event for all going on Sunday 7th May.
Visiting Kids Club Kampala in Uganda is a great opportunity to bless the team over there who are working in the slums every day to bring God’s Hope and Love to these kids. It’s also a great chance to use your skills and gifts and share these with the KCK team, children and communities and make an impact in their lives. Particularly sought after skills, passions and experience include: Children’s Ministry, Teaching, Football, and Sports.
Visiting Uganda is not just about sharing your skills and making an impact but also about encouraging our Ugandan brothers and sisters, making friendships and supporting them in prayer.
