As a church, we know that there is a calling upon us to “set the lonely in families” (Psalm 68). We’ve been living with a prophetic word and picture that was given to us in 2014 by our friend, Pete Greig, who saw “a picture of Aberdeen and houses lit up across the city”. He felt God saying “there will be houses all across the city and region that are places of hospitality, inclusion and radical family, places of adoption and fostering.” Since then we’ve been on a remarkable journey of beginning to see this happen, with the help of a fantastic partnership with Barnados Aberdeen.
The team from Barnados will be joining us to host an information evening on Thurs 11 Jan, 7.30pm in the downstairs hall at our Gilc Park site.
If you want to find out more about how you can get involved in Fostering or Adoption – whether that’s by taking a child/ren into your home, or wanting to know how best to support others who are doing it, then do come along.
WE PROMISE THERE’S NO STRINGS ATTACHED! By coming along you are not signing up to anything, but you can learn more about the current situation in Aberdeen/shire, next steps in the process (if applicable), and ask any questions.
